The short version
This is our own paraphrase, written to save you a read. It is not the agreement. The numbered sections below are the binding text, and each point links to the one it came from.

If You Ask Us to Keep You Posted
The free tools on this site need no account, and what you type into them is not tied to you. Separately, some of those pages have a box where you can give us your email address to hear about new tools. That is the only thing on those pages that stores anything about you, and only if you fill it in.
- Your email address
- Your name, only if a form asks for one and you give it
- Which page you signed up from, so we know which tools people care about
- A record that you opted in, and when
We use it to email you about LaunchLens. We do not sell it or hand it to anyone else to market to you. Every email has an unsubscribe, and you can email support@launchlens.tech to be removed at any time, whether or not you ever made an account.

3. Third-Party Services
We work with trusted third-party services to provide LaunchLens. These partners are bound by data protection agreements and process data only as instructed by us:
Firebase (Google)
Provides authentication, database, and hosting services. Subject to Google's privacy standards.
Google OAuth
Connects your YouTube account. We request permission to read your channel and video data, and to manage your videos so you can apply a title or thumbnail from inside LaunchLens. We only ever write something to your channel when you tell us to.
Google (Gemini)
Generates your thumbnails and metadata. The image, title or transcript you submit is sent to Google to produce that result.
Deepgram
Transcribes the audio of videos you upload. Used only when you upload a video.
fal.ai
Generates low-cost draft images. Used only when you pick a draft-quality render.
PostHog
Product analytics. Receives your email address and display name so we can tell accounts apart, along with which features you used and your plan. It also records how you move through the app so we can see where people get stuck. Typing in form fields is masked out of those recordings.
Google Services Integration
LaunchLens integrates with Google services including YouTube API and Google OAuth. Your use of these services is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can request a copy of all personal data we have about you by contacting support@launchlens.tech.
Correction
You can update your information through your account settings or by contacting us.
Deletion
You can ask us to delete your account and your data at any time by emailing support@launchlens.tech. We handle these by hand right now, and we will confirm to you when it is done, within 30 days. Some records may be kept where the law requires it, for example billing records.

Section 7 of 12
5. Data Retention and Security
Retention
- Account data: Kept until your account is deleted
- Images you generate: On the free plan, removed from our cloud storage after 90 days. On a paid plan, kept while your account is open
- Video files you upload for editing: Removed after 7 days
- Support messages: Kept for up to 2 years
- Analytics data: Kept for up to 1 year
Generated Content
We retain copies of the images you generate with LaunchLens, including on the free plan, and use them internally to operate and improve the service (for example, understanding what kinds of thumbnails creators make and improving our generation quality). We do not share your generated images with other users unless you explicitly opt a specific image into the template pool.
Credit rewards for template opt-ins (financial incentive disclosure). When you opt an image into the template pool, we may reward you with LaunchLens credits (currently 10 credits per accepted image, capped at 5 rewarded opt-ins per month). The value of this incentive reflects the value the contributed image provides to the template library. You can stop opting in at any time; opting in or out never changes the price of your plan.
Google User Data Retention
- OAuth tokens: Retained until you disconnect your Google account
- YouTube data we cache to avoid re-fetching (titles, transcripts, channel info): up to one year, refreshed when you next work on that video rather than deleted on a timer
- Uploads and generated images: Stored in Google Cloud, and retained as described under Generated content above
- Account information: Retained until account deletion
Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Regular security audits and updates
- Access controls and authentication
- Secure data centers with physical security
While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
If something goes wrong
If we discover a breach that affects your personal information, we will investigate it straight away, do what we can to contain it, and notify the relevant authorities without undue delay and no later than 72 hours after we become aware of it, where the law requires that.
We will also tell you directly and promptly if your data was involved and there is a real risk to you. That notice will say what happened, what data was affected, what we have done about it, and what we suggest you do. We would rather tell you ourselves than have you read about it somewhere else.
Section 8 of 12
6. Children's Privacy
LaunchLens is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.
